I am contemplating a visit to Farasan Islands - Jizan.
Any suggestions or previous experience you'd like to share?

I havent been there but I have heard of people who can arrange a trip to Farasan. Would be better if you can check out agents like Tayyar or Fursan. I think they have a package or would know how. The name of Jawlah tours comes to mind as well.
Have heard that its very good for snorkeling or diving. Since I can only swim in a bath tub...Farasan is not high on my to visit list

snorkeling and diving in Farsan Islands requires a permit from some ministry or something.. otherwise you could go there to see the birds but then you have to be there at the right time of the year. Like mirfarali had suggested please check with some licensed tour operators to check with how things go.. and yeah once you do get there, please share how you go there as well.
