Shopping in Reunion Island

Hello dear members,

I guess this could be an interesting topic. I invite all members in Reunion Island (both locals & expats) to share their daily/weekly/monthly experience about shopping. You may also include some shopping tips/suggestions!

So can you please share with us:

>Where do you usually go for shopping?
(Shopping for basic products like Food, Vegetables, Meat)

>What are your favorite shopping malls/complex or boutique?
(Where you usually go to relax or to buy your clothing stuffs, shoes and other shopping related products!)

Awaiting for your contribution wink

Best Regards

Re: Shopping in Reunion Island

hi

clothes shopping is not very interesting in la reunion if you are used to shop in europe or USA. the branded imports get highly taxed so prices are very high.

i do my food shopping in the main super markets such as  carfour, jumbo, lider price and le claire. the first two have got lots of choices but the prices are a bit high. and the other two have got cheaper options but with less choices.
you can find fresh local produce in the local markets for a lower price. but the parkets are open only once a week depending on the area.
