Best tip to meet people in Thailand?
--> Be very, very, careful when meeting other expats.
Why?
Thailand offers a very tolerant culture.
Almost "anything goes" here.
That means any Western derelict or criminal with enough wits to get on an airplane, can get to Thailand.
And we have a lot of that sort here.
Often, looking around, it seems that the vast majority of expats here are the worst that The West has to offer.
One expat here -- 15 years in country -- describes Thailand as a "jail break" from the West.
Sad, but easy to observe for yourself.
