Ken Bates / Anegada

Hi,

I'n trying to find info relating to Ken Bates development activity on Anegada in the late 60's.

I understand the development was unpopular and was halted. But I'd like to find out more.

Were any books published which cover this period in the islands history?

Do any board members remember the events that surrounded the ill fated development plan? If so I'd be pleased to hear details.

Many Thanks in advance.

Hi Rex Everything,

Welcome to Expat-blog! :)

Hope you get replies very soon.

Wish you good luck
Christine

If you search "bates" on this link: http://bvinews.com/bvi/2010/11/, you'll find a bit of information about Noel Lloyd, one of the leaders of the movement against the development. Good luck in your search!

Many thanks Crystall.

The articles you directed me to mentioned a documentary on Noel Lloyd called "Noel Lloyd: A patriotic Man".

Thats exactly what I'm looking for, just need a way to track down a copy now.

Ken was here in the 1960's
There is a statue to Noel Lloyd in the Noel Lloyd action movement.

The Irish Trust Bank I understand difd not have a licencve in the BVI.

I have the contact information for the person that produced the documentary if you're still interested but can you tell me your reason for needing to see it
