Purchase of bicycle with gas motor

I have seen on occasion bicycles with a gasoline motor attached. I thought of how cool is that to putter around the neighborhood on with my wife. Of course, this defeats the purpose of exercising when riding.

Does anyone know of a local shop in Medellin to purchase this type of bicycle?

You can search on the net for 'bicimoto medellin' and get some hits, mostly from mercadolibre.com.co

I'd also go to the local motorcycle dealers as almost all of them sell small-engine motorcycles and scooters, and I think Kawasaki has some bike-like offerings and probably others do too - or they would know who does.

In Laureles, about 5-8 blocks from the Exito on the San Juan(Carrera 44) and 70 on the right hand side, there is a guy that makes them...you can actually purchase the bike you want....bring it to him and he will convert it.......or you can buy a unit he has already done............you do not need any licensing of any kind for this motorized bike.
