Hi Guys,

I am a 27 year old accountant and I have been basically offered a job in Khobar. I would be in one of the compounds and I am considering the move but worried about the major lifestyle change it will bring.

I want to relocate to experience a change of culture and the challenge of working in another country . my current life revolves around playing football and socialising with friends . I was hoping for some advice or experiences someone my age may have had and how they found it ?

Is it easy to meet people my age over there and also who will share similar interests , and are there any single women in the compounds ? from what I read it seems to be mainly males. Also what is life like in the compounds?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi compound life is more open than the country it self. Most compounds have football pitches along with rugby, tennis, badminton and swimming pools. You will be able to make friends within compound and your work place but you would struggle to meet people out of your compound and work place.
