Hi guys, I've been offered a job in King Faisal Hospital, Jeddah. Still waiting for official letter with salary.

Are there any Expats in Jeddah?

What is life like for you? What do you get up to on your days off?
What kind of salary can I expect? I'll be working in acute medical assessment unit.

What are the housing compounds like?

Any info will be greatly received.

Welcome in Saudi Arabia in advance

Let me share my experience in Jeddah and Saudi Arabia in general.

Honestly you will find cultural differences as well as different life style, however Jeddah considered as one of the top city having western expats, so I think by time you can enroll in groups from your country and moderately interact as you expect.

In your day-off! you can go for shopping in Malls or spent the day with friends in the compound doing entertainment activities.

Regarding to the salaries, as a rule of thumb, you should expect to be charged with the double of what you are getting now, your package must include the following

- Accommodation free in a compound.
- Transportation free " since you will not be able to drive in Saudi".
- Medical insurance.
- Annual flight ticket.
