Hi you can volunteer and stay in a picturesque village called 'Medina Salam' in South Gambia - The WYZE project is suitable for everyone, they offer both professional and support roles within Medina Salam Village School and Maternity Clinic, and also a range of roles within the local community . . . The Beach is just a 5 minute walk away. There is a local venue called 'The Hamlet' which houses a restaurant / bar and accepts bookings for drumming lessons, art classes, agricultural sessions and language courses, there. There is also a Lodge and restaurant called Nemasu.
