While living abroad, some expats wish to get involved in the local community life.

What organizations expats can turn to if they want to volunteer in Canada?

How to join a charitable institution, what are the steps?

Which causes have the greatest need for volunteers in Canada?

Have you every considered Community Health Centres.
Focus of CHC's include supporting women, men, youth, seniors around health promotion (not yet those who are ill)

There is a multitude of different ways to become involved in volunteering. Most of the options that I have researched have on-line information. My recommendation would be to see what your interests/gifts are and Google it. You're sure to find something. If you type in the search bar "volunteer (your city)" you will see a lot of different links.
