How's life here ? Where do I go for coffee, or dinner downtown ?

Hey Everyone! Just arrived in Djibouti a few days ago and wanted to connect with some fun people here. I'll be working for a construction company here. How's life here? Where do I go for coffee, or dinner downtown? Where do I get the best deals on food shopping? I'm living in Harmous (is that right?)... don't have much of orientation at the moment lol. Welcome to Djibouti.

Can recommend some places to shop.

Near where you live is Casino Supermarket (near the Presidents house) which stocks imports from France. Good for meat and groceries and has a good collection of deli items and frozen items. From Haramous towards the airport is another supermarket called "9" and has a selection of groceries, dairy and a small bakery. In town is Nougatprix which has groceries, frozen items, household items, stationery etc. We do our vegetable shopping at the market which is in town. Not expensive but you need to get there early as it gets hot later in the day, Also available there are some grocery stalls (which are cheaper then the supermarkets) which sell fresh eggs.
