Foreign Expat to further study (part time) while working in Denmark

Is there any restriction for foreign expat to further study in any university in Denmark (part time) while he/she is currently  working and living via GC permit?

Your kind feedback shall be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

This seems to be a little bit too complicated, but I'll see if I can help you a little on your way.

Let's start with the studies. They are not free as you aren't from the EU/EEA and Switzerland.

As you see from the regulations, it is possible to work up to 20 hours a week.

However, our starting point is that you are a green card holder, not a student. Are you allowed to take a course or two while here, and what will it cost? I would suggest that you put the question to the university which provides the course/courses.

As you count on becoming a green card holder, I assume that a job will be the most important for you, not the study. Be aware that the job situation is challenged in these years, so I'll advise you to have a job in hand before coming here.

Thank you Nellie

You are right, It seems complicated. I'll send the questions to the respective learning institution, hoping to get a reply if not one or two.

I haven't landed a job as yet, just a good prospective and promising opportunity from one employer in Denmark and hence, assessing other benefits I could have from this, including further study. Definitely working is on top priority as that is the main objective. But I simply cannot let go my vision towards further Master Degree and completing Phd. Thus, if I could kill 2 birds in one stone while I am in Denmark, I would say why not? I am more than willing to invest some money for it.

Thanks

Your approach to work and study is so realistic that I don't have to advise you on this score.  :)

I take that you will be interested in a study at the Copenhagen Business School?

Unfortunately, I havn't been able to find information on the prices at the CBS. The University of Copenhagen states the prices for Open University as follows: http://aabentuniversitet.hum.ku.dk/bliv … de/priser/ (couldn't find a corresponding English page with the prices).

Please, feel free to ask for further information.

By the way, do you know this site: https://www.coursera.org/

Thank you Nellie

Do you have any idea of any part time offer for Master Degree Course available in Denmark? I am weighing the option towards Master in Project Management, if not MBA.

Of course my mission will kicks in once I had settled down in Denmark.

You can pass a bachelor exam by following the Open University-courses, but if you can also take a master's degree that way, I don't know, but put it the right way, I should think so.

I suggest that you ask the university about this. It is too important to rely on my suggestions, beliefs etc.
