In India, which examination board is better, ICSE or CBSE?

Both CBSE and ICSE curricula have their merits and demerits. The CBSE curriculum is not as intensive or equal to the standards of ICSE curriculum. Both curricula help students do well in college entrance exams and provide a good foundation for higher studies. The CBSE curriculum is a little lighter and easier and also lays more emphasis on real-life and practical applications. Students who are more hands-on may enjoy this curriculum. However, for students who enjoy a challenging academic curriculum, ICSE may be able to provide the requisite study material. It may be a little drier, but for students who are used to this may find that it suits their academic needs better.
