Its difficult to answer this question without knowing a little bit more about your employer. Different employers have different scales and nomenclature.

Is the "Grade or Level 12" you refer to from the government sector?

PS:- The List provided by zeeshanakthar (thanks zeeshan) is what applies to the government sector, but I don't see a Grade 12 on it.
