British ancestors in occupied India

My search for early expats in my family tree led me to write a short essay for my blog, last December, telling how one of my grandfather's cousins, a British Army officer who served the Raja of Sirmoor in the early 1900s, married a daughter of the Bombay law firm of Branson & Branson. Here is the web-link, in case somebody here is interested in such things.

Does anyone else have information of this general nature?
