SPOUSE VISA APPLICATION AND ENTRY CLEARANCE FROM ALBANIA TO UK

Hi,

My husband is Albanian and I am British.

My husband went back to Albania in May.

I had to get my certificate of non impediment legalised and translated.

I also got my birth certificate legalised.

We then got married in Albania in June 2015 and we submitted the application in June 2015.

We still haven't had a decision from them as I understand the application takes up to 12 weeks.

We have paid as follows:

£650 NHS surcharge
£1,079 Visa Application and fee
£39.95 DHL original documents to Albania
£1,580 Immigration Advisor and a letter
£23.40 copy of birth certificate
£35.00 Notice of Marriage
£35.00 X2 Legalisation of above documents
and flights costs.

We also needed him to do A1 English test (I can't remember how much it cost).

The gov website doesn't tell you everything you need but you should definitely get support from a immigration specialist.

I did a lot of research and got everything to make it easier for them but we still haven't heard anything.

The most important is the financial supporting documents as they do not want your spouse to claim benefits and you need to show them that you can support them financially and also have accommodation that is not crowded.

supporting letters from family members also helps.

do not submit the application until you have everything.

Hi can I ask some advice from you ? I no this thread is old but hopefully someone will help , I am marrying my Albanian partner in a few months , how can I get him to the uk if I am on Benifits and don't earn to get him here is there any way round it ? X

So I don't need to be there to hand the documents in ? He can do it then I go for the wedding ? Also were did u get ur English documents noitorised x
