Expat Nightlife/ Social Dancing

Hello,
I am originally Bulgarian but grew up in America and I have not been back in over 10 years. I will be vising my hometown Ruse in August until October but am interested in traveling throughout the rest of the country. (No travel itinerary planned out yet, open to suggestions).

I am fluent in conversational Bulgarian but my reading and writing skills are that of a young child. I would be interested in meeting up with other expats and finding events offered or organized by the expat community. I also enjoy social dancing and know that there is a large salsa dancing community in some of the larger cities, but have not heard much about other dance styles like swing or ballroom. Does anyone have any information about events of the sort or general information on nightlife and social events? I would also be willing to do basic/minor translations for English speaking expats if anyone needs the help.

At the time that you will be visiting the coast will be a good place to go for nightlife and parties. If you are in Sofia, PM club is the "happening" place right now, in early sept Tequial club will be reopening after remodel and that place is awesome. On the coast, in Sunny Beach, you can go to Cacao and Bedroom Beach, those two have good events and they bring international DJ's all summer long. In Lozenets, Vanilla Bay is a good place for daytime fun and Hacienda at night.

Thanks! Do you know if Bulgaria has an organized expat community that has regular events?

Hi, I will be watching with interest ,to see if anyone is able to suggest where there are any events ect for expats near Burgas.

I went to one of those expat "gathering" here in Sofia, wasn't my cup of tea so I never bothered to find out if they do it on the regular. I know JJ Murphy's is a hangout pub for expats but that's about it.
