I just purchased a half acre of waterfront property on the pacific side of Honduras. I checked out most of the developments for "gringos" on the Caribbean side and could not see myself paying the kind of money that they were asking for, for a small lot. The price per square foot for building was pretty high as well. If you do your homework you can find a great piece of property for a lot less than what these developers are asking for. The pacific side of Honduras will be the next "Roatan". They just announced that cruise ships will be making a port of call on the island that I purchased my property and the government of Honduras is already investing money in upgrading the pier and making improvements to the Island.
