In Mauritius, you have got both public and private schools.
Most expats choose to send their children to private schools.
Public education system is in English medium and based on the Cambridge International Exams curriculum.
Public education is highly academic and competitive but lacks the extra-curricular activities many expats are seeking.
There are private schools some with classes in English, some in French and others both.
However private schools come at a cost.
