Hi my husband and I are thinking of leaving South Africa. How easy is it to get into Mexico and also how safe is the country? We are looking for other South Africans who live and work there to guide us in the process.

Many years ago I was with the SABC before moving to BBC and have lived in Mexico for a few years.
Assuming you have no criminal record and sufficient funds on which to live you should have no difficulty in getting a "Permanente" in Mexico.
Safety? Apart from the northern border area all I can say is that compared to ZA you need have no misgivings.
