I was thinking of doing a motorbike trip up north around Hai Giang. I was just wondering if anyone knew the best time of year to head to the countryside in those parts.

I suggest September to October, because I reckon the weather is pleasant then.

From March to October is good time for landscape but not good weather, it is hot, humid, thunderstorm sometime.
From Nov till Feb is dry, cool but misty & freezing sometime
