Bonjour,

Est ce que quelqu'un a un site à recommander concernant les Visas à l'arrivée ?
Arnaques, bons plans, expériences ....

Is someone has experience about Visa's on arrival ?
Good plans, scams....

Merci / Thanks

Hi willow69380,

Please note that you are actually on the Vietnam anglophone forum, therefore i suggest you to post only in English here.

If you can also communicate in french, you might want to post an ad in french on the francophone forum here : https://www.expat.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=4254 in order to raise your chances of obtaining more useful information.

Thanks

Priscilla

You need a letter issued by a VN Government Immigration officer to
prove you have
1. sponsors in VN or
2. You are booked through a travel agent
3. Got accomadation in a Hotel

or something to that effect . Its a standard letter issued with your name and pp number.
Your travel agent will do it and E mail you the scanned copy.

In the airport go to the counter VISA ON ARRIVAL
fill up a form attach two copies of your photos and
the standard fee in US dollars (depends on the duration of visa you apply)

submit it to the officer there.

You may be called up in half an hour (if quieu is short)

Its  not difficult.

Normally Vietnam is a SCAM FREE COUNTRY

Apply through an online VOA, myvietnamvisa, etc, etc,  you only need the NAME of a hotel. Don't waste your money on travel agents.  There is another current Visa thread going at the moment , where I described the steps for VOA at the airport.

At any International border.

I use the website hotels in vietnam and never had a problem.  Normal process is 2 days and they send you the official letter via email, you print it out, take it with you, when you arrive at the airport, go to the visa on arrival window, give the letter, the visa application, 2 passport photos and the stamp fee.  Wait a little, if no line, then you get the visa.  Really really simple and no hassle at all, unless there is a long line.

10$ for visa on arrival at airport

Hi guys, Please dont misunderstand Vietnam visa on arrival. In order to get this visa type, you first need to submit a request online through a Vietnam visa online website to get a pre-approval letter via email so that you can take a plane to Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will get stamped visa there!

Hope this helps!
