You don't have to pay any fees by using an agent to find you a unit - the owner pays them about 1 months' rent. Anyone who contacts you here is probably an agent anyway.

Do some online research to see if your budget is feasible in Brickfields and if you like the style and size. The good places are expensive.

Work out which school kids will go to before choosing accommodation.
