hi guys/gals
im a 47 yr old british guy who recently married a Filipina in Bohol Philippines in may 2015 i am currently back in the uk and wish to return to Bohol in early july 2015 for a period of 6 months to be with my wife and our 6 month old daughter [born in Philippines] to save the hassle of applying for a 6 month visa ive been told that i can arrive with my passport and have it stamped for 30 days[like ive always done before] and then go to the BI office in tagbilaran and have it extended there for 6 months
is this information correct? also im traveling with a friend who is also British and is not married to a Filipino she just wants to spend 6 months in the philippines as a tourist is she able to apply for an extension like me simply by walking into the BI office and getting it done there and then?
if anyone can advise me if we can do this i would be most grateful as im led to believe that we can go straight for a 6 month extension instead of the 59 day extension like it was/is
many thanks
roger
