I live in Ambergris Caye my breakfast this morning 2 eggs, bacon, fry jacks, refried beans and papaya for $14 bzd or $7 usd. I ate on a dock over the water. You can also spend quite a bit more for this if you go to some of the nice resorts. I can go to the taco stand near my house for 3 for $1 bzd chicken tacos. Or go out for a gourmet steak dinner for $65. Many of the restaurants have their menus online and you can get hotel prices by checking tripadvisor or any of the other hotel booking sites. On Ambergris Caye you will not find the mom and pop type hotels. They are all online. You may however want to contact a hotel directly and ask for a discount.
