Study while working in Oman

An employment visa is meant only for what it is issued - for employment, and for nothing else. No expatriate can hold an employment visa and do anything else, including study. You can of course study online. Nothing will stop you from that.

I think it depends on your field of work. Suggest you to discuss this point with your employer. BTW I don't think there are any good/globally recognized educational institutes in Sohar that offer part-time higher education courses! People land up in Gulf to earn not to learn! Even I am planning to sit MRCP exams after joining a private hospital there.
