Hi All,
about to move to Astana...also considering the many ExPats over there, does anybody know where or interested in playing rugby/touch rugby?

Good luck with that. I taught in one of the NIS school (Aktobe) and with some Kiwi colleagues we tried to introduce Touch Rugby last Summer. Thought KZ has both a Men and ladies national Rugby team and the Ladies team just became Asian Champion (back to back) and qualified for the Ladies Rugby World cup in Paris (2014. There were not a lot interests from both students and staff. Of the small number of students who did tried it really enjoyed it.
BTW - my team (Saracens RFC) just won the English Premiership recently at Twickenham.
Kazakhs have an ideal physical and mental abilities to play rugby. If only the sports are on their TV more than once or twice a year (if that).
