Moving to South Africa

Immigration laws have sharpened since 2014 so there is actually only limited ways to enter the country (namely corporate visa, special skills visa or intra company work permit). Once you found an employer or you got sent from your home country some facts about living in South Africa (bear in mind I am writing this as a European):

- the nature around Cape Town is breathtaking
- the people are usually friendly
- the lifestyle is rather mediterranean and not as stiff and structured as in Europe
- public transport is often late and unreliable
- living costs are not as low as proclaimed (shopping groceries, spare time activities like sports, cinema etc.)
- restaurants are cheap (compared to Europe), rents are slightly cheaper (compared to Europe) but there is a huge inflation due to immigrants
- the security level is still doubtful (cars are often broken into, criminality is high - but rather in the outskirts)
- there is a lot of poverty and inequality in the country (many beggars and homeless)

Hello one house, am a Nigerian guy hoping to move and reside in south africa. Pls kindly tell me how easy to get job and leave freely in there. Any one to share opinion please
