Hi evreyone,

The situation seems very confused. Now, we are tax residents in Colombia the first year we spend more than 183 days in Colombia. The delay of 5 years don't exist yet.

There is a tax exemption for retirement pension but someone told me that it's only for Colombian retirement pensions and not for foreign retirement pensions. Do anyone have informations about this ?

Did you find out any more info about what is taxed when you are classified as a tax resident?

Although I'm disappointed that no one has answered this important question, I'm gonna try again: Does anyone have reliable information regarding income tax for pensioners? I have read and heard that there is a "global income" concept that means Colombia taxes income from anywhere in the world, but cannot determine if there is a pensioner exemption and, if so, what are the dollar limits.
