Trip to Oman

Dear Friends...

We wish to travel Oman from UAE in this weekend(Friday sat)
and plan to travel through Al Ain-Ibri-NIzwa- Muscat then return through Sohar...

Can any one help us to suggest what we have there to see in Oman...especially Historic and Natural...?

Timings during week ends and off  :|:( days in Historic places..?

Drop your comments whatever you wish to suggest...

Thank you

HI shameer07,

Since summer has set-in, it would be rather hot to spend a lot of time outdoors.

In Nizwa there is an ancient fort. Plus, there's a souq adjacent to the fort which are well worth a visit.

Most Wadis along the way would be, in any case, dry. Plus, there isn't much to see or do there.

Suggest you just drive through and reach muscat.

Plan to spend more time in Muscat. There are a lot of beaches, malls, movies, eateries, and more to see and do.

It would be a good experience for people visiting from Dubai, especially, if you haven't been to Muscat before.

Be forewarned. Muscat and Dubai are so dramatically different. Come and discover those differences for yourself !

All the dozen plus museums would be closed for the weekend, plus, Sunday has been declared a national holiday. So none of the public places of interest would be open.

Enjoy your visit.

Thank you Sumitran, for your valuable advise...
