A non-eu national who wants to travel to UK for a short holiday :)

Hey everyone!
I am just curious if I can travel to UK for a short holiday holding a resident permit with an ID card from another EU country.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give :).

if your travellling with your spouse no problems just show id etc
if  your travelling alone you will need to apply for a visa unless your from a country that wouldnt require a visa into the uk

You will have to apply for a General Visitor visa to visit the UK.

Cheers
Ricky

Hello Leighxx,

Kindly note that I have moved your discussion in the England forum for better views and interaction.

You can also read an article in the guide-Traveling to the United Kingdom so that you can have a better insight.

Thank you so much guys for your replies..I really appreciate it :). Just thought I can travel to the UK freely since i have my temporary partner e-residence card here in Malta ( valid of course) with an EU citizen who will be also accompanying me. Like travelling to other EU countries just to show the ID card and passport.
In such a case do I also need a British entry visa?

Leigh:)

No Leigh you wouldn't as your traveling with an eu citizen
