My question is can my wife work if I get a work permit or 2 year greencard? I will fall under the highly skilled category and earn more than required by immigration to apply for a greencard. Will my wife be able to work in Ireland in this time? She does have a diploma, but not under the skilled category list.

Hi,
The short answer is no, she will not be granted the right to work. There is no system of green card by the way and it is a system of stamps. You will find an answer to most of your questions on this http://www.inis.gov.ie/ hope it's helpful
