Shipping my car to saudi

hey are there any laws and regulations about bringing cars in to saudi from outside? i might be moving back this year and need to know if i can bring my car in with me. any input will be appreciated.

thanks,

Yes there's law and regulations to bring the car from outside to Saudi !! One car per family is allowed for importation. Vehicles over 4 years old are not allowed to import. Vehicle must be registered in SA after customs clearance and traffic police clearance.
Documents required are ;
1) Saudi sponsor letter of authorisation from consignee to clear the car.
2) certificate of title and registration, proof of ownership and purchase invoice.
3) import permit from MEA, must be approved before importation
4) SASO certificate
5) certificate from local police department for no case involving the car
6) copy of passport and insurance policy
7) valid Saudi DL - copy
8) resident permit (IQAMA)

Good luck :)

so the car will be on the saudi's name when it comes? since im just moving now, i wont have an iqama so does that mean i cant bring my own car with me?
