Starting bi-lingual English and Dutch day-care/pre-school

Hi readers,

I'm a Dutch national who has been working as an English kids teacher <mainly pre-school> in Tokyo for the last 15 years. At work we speak only English and our curriculum is based on American playgroup-style.I'm 47 years old therefore I would love to open such a style pre-school in Aruba based on my teaching-experiences abroad. Is it easy for a Dutch national to open such a daycare facility ?How strict is it dealing with licenses and regulations and sponsorship??? Thanks,Jessyca

Hi Jessica, there is an internacional school here in Aruba, also the panamerican school based on English as well as another one in dutch. All of those are private schools. I think you contact the education ministery at www.ea.aw and ask them about it. You can write in dutch of course.
You as a dutch national would not have much problems regarding your own work permit.
