Opportunity

I have been offered the opportunity to work in and be based from Germany (Hamburg). The role is as a financial adviser to the expat community in Germany and across Europe. I have over 20 years experience in financial services in Ireland, the USA & Dubai (my profile can be found on linked in). The company is regulated in Germany is fully authorised. Before I make the move can anyone give me feedback on their experiences with financial services in regards to the ex pat community.

Please and thank you
John

Make sure you get a proper training and know all the legal regulations and obligations of a financial adviser in Germany.
There is a thicket of rules and many pitfalls that can cost you more (in terms of money, career or license) than it's worth!

In my experience the expat community could use more financial advisors that understand US-DE or UK-DE contexts.
