Hi, we are from UK arrived 2 months ago, my son who is 5 is struggling to make friends at school as all kids speak mostly French or Creole. I am thinking of getting him French tuition classes and wanted to ask if other parents had similar experiences and if they recommend private tuition at this age

Hello,
What school is he in ? Whereabouts do you live ? I think the best way to get him into it is to find a play mate, he might need one on one interaction to make things easier...hope that helps.

Hi,
If your on FB then there are mums groups in your area, mums post on there asking for info, selling, buying etc, I think these groups will be full of information for you and also local mums will answer your queries.

You can also see about play dates etc

There are groups called:

Mums of the North
Mums of Mauritius
Island Mums Mauritius
etc etc
