1. Make sure your company pays and pays well for your accommodation as it's very expensive over here in Qatar.
2. Make sure children's tuition fees are also covered.
3. If you are relocating from Europe, Australia or North America, then make sure you bring your valid Driving License along else getting one from scratch is a pain and very time consuming.

Remember yes does not mean yes.

Remember you are not in your home country and things don't operate the same

If you see something you want buy it it won't be there tomorrow and it may never come again

Stay connected to family back home they will be your salvation for sanity

Drive aggressive using blinkers and being courteous is not part of the driving scheme here.

Make sure that your accommodation is well paid or covered adequately. Living in a decent plan starts from QAR 10,000 upwards.

Rent (don't buy) a small car and bring your driving license for conversion. The car helps in having a life outside work.

Play sport, work out or go for a run. Else you will go mental.

Read your health insurance benefits in detail.
