If I have a final exit visa do I hand my Iqama in at the airport.....?
Do I have to get a letter from the bank about my account being closed....?
I was told I just need to hand my Iqama to the authorities at the airport and my account will be automatically closed as long as it has a zero balance and there is no credit card

Yes you have to hand over your iqama at the airport and either you can close your bank account or else it will be automatically closed over a period of time !!

You don't have to prove zero balance in your account. Also you can transfer money overseas through Western Union and other such things.
