If I have a single exit re entry visa to Bahrain from KSA from my company, can I buy an airline ticket at the airport to get out of the country .....?
Or do I need to pre book a ticket online...?

why not book one online? Then you know for sure you have a ticket.

Exactly , you might have to pay a double price of a pre-purchased ticket ! 
I always fly out of Bahrain , I never use Saudi Airports !
Bahrain Immigration Officers are better
