The port in Italy??????

Someone told me there is a port where he goes to every six months to come back with his car so to have another six months drive without changing plate.
At that time I was not listening carefully and was not interested much to that but now I am in that situation.

Can anyone please let me know of that place. I will be grateful.  Thanks

There is only one ferry from  Malta to Sicily see this link.

If you live/ work in Malta then you must register the vehicle in Malta otherwise you risk having your vehicle seized!

Thanks. Yes that was the port I was searching for . - Pozallo

only one ferry runs across now from siscily to malta

Is it like daily or twice weekly something. Thanks

Hi YES twice a week Tuesday or Thursdays and there should be 3 sailings a day

If  your taking your car I have read you will need a full log book  with you for the crossing.

It's a daily service but worth noting it's currently out of service due to technical issues

Wrong!!
Usually run every day.
Not currently running due to 'technical difficulties (which personally, I doubt).

In the winter months it runs 5 times a week, in the summer it changes to 7 days a week.

It was out of service supposedly for maintenance from  Jan 17 to Feb 5 but  has not yet managed a full trip!

Strange the "schedule" on the website has changed from one that allowed you to book way ahead to a "A4" sheet just showing this month.
