Asking money for visa arrangement in advance

My friend has an offer from one Thai company in BKK to work as an designer. They sent her all details, but what is fishy in all this story is that she is asked to send them 500 USD for visa arrangement.
But when one visits their web presentation it can be seen that it's well reputed company.

Does anyone have similar experiences?

This is not right. Any company looking to employ anyone from overseas is responsible for visa costs. They may well be a reputable company but they should not be asking for money at all.
Perhaps your friend can ask them why the payment is necessary.

Hello sunshine_bg

This is Scam! Run Away!

A company recruiting should bear all costs on their behalf.

Hi! From my own experience! Foreigners who want a work permit in Thailand can be ask more than 500 usd. One friend get his visa from a company in Chonburi in exchange to not get paid a salary.

Scammers use other people's company names in an attempt to look real.
