Hi! Here I am asking yet another question... I have a friend who would like to come with her husband and 6 year old daughter to visit us here from the U.S. We live in Jarabacoa but they want to stay somewhere close to the beach. Area is open but I think somewhere reasonably priced, fairly safe and with things a family can do. Can someone offer a few selections? I would also love to know if you or anyone you know have stayed there.

I would look at the north coast in Playa Dorada, Cabarete or Sosua. Only a bit over 1.5 hours from you and lots to do.
