I am in the same process but from Bahrain. As long as your car is less then five years old you should be okay. I suggest you contact any reputed shipping agency and they will ship your car on a trailer or truck. Once I did it with Samar Cargo from Abu Dhabi who shipped my car then for 2000 Dhs. to Bahrain.

GAC company is very good too, they are in JAFZ. All you need to do is to visit traffic department and cancell your car registration and AS for blue EXPORT plates so you can drive in the UAE for few days before you actually export the car.

Am planning to bring my 2012 Pajero from Dubai to KSA. Can anyone help me to confirm me the below.
once I get the export documents and export number plate from Dubai, can I drive the car in to KSA myself and get it registered in KSA other than giving the car to any shipping company for exporting it from Dubai?
Can any one tell me the procedures in the KSA entry gate and customs?
I need valued comments from all and especially those who experience the same.
