Work and Study in Germany

I am looking forward to moving to Germany later this year.
I hope to meet guys here who will share with me the dos and don't in Germany and how to get job easier following the right procedure.
I hope to make friends via this forum so that I will not be lonely as soon as I arrived.
Hope to see your replies.
Thanks and God bless you.

Welcome to the forum!
What will you work as in Germany - and do you already have a job offer and speak German?
If not, it might be quite difficult or even impossible.
What is your education and work experience?

Thank you for your reply.
I have Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and I have technical experience in Computer operation and engineering.
Currently, I don't speak German and I am very willing to learn as soon as I get there.
What are the papers that are required of me before leaving my country (Nigeria-West Africa) and when I get over there(Germany).
I look forward to hear from you again.
Thanks
Ehis.

You should first check if your diploma is recognised and what its German equivalent is:

Then you should attend a year or two of German classes in your home country, because otherwise you have no chance to find a job:

Then you should send job applications to appropriate companies in your field. The following websites might help you find vacancies and build a professional network of contacts (German language skills required):

Once you get a job offer, the employer can help you to apply for the required work visa.
In the meantime, you are welcome to make exploratory visits to Germany on a tourist visa - but note that no work is allowed on a tourist visa and it also cannot be converted to a work permit.

Thank you very much.
All is noted.
