I want to go to Muscat for a couple of days. I will be taking the bus. What do I need to do before hand as I am an American and I will be arriving from Dubai. I am flying from Riyadh to Dubai?

If you have an American Passport, nothing much actually. Arrive at the border and apply for a Visa on Arrival, its 20 OMR and lasts for a month (or) if your in Oman for about 10 days, you can apply for the 5 OMR one.
