Hi,

I got a job offer with family status which I accepted and the company is asking me to arrive in Oman on arrival visa because I have Canadian passport, they are saying that they will apply for work visa but they want me to join ASAP.

Please advice that shall I wait for the work visa or I should arrive in Oman with my passport?

Can I bring my family with me also?

Hello Navnad,

There have been tonnes of post on employment visa - duration, applying, documents required etc and a common trend is that there is no fixed time as to how long it would take for your employment visa to be processed. That being said, you could always ask the company to sponsor a trip to Oman and maybe you could have a look around, get a feel of the place etc.

However, if I am not wrong, you will have to exit the country once your employment visa is issued, for which you merely need to make a trip to Dubai.
