The scams usually ask you for money.
If they do, it's a scam.

Perhaps you could post a few more details, so we can have a look at it.

Unless you happen to top top of your field in something, it's very likely to be a scam.

Ok they send me interview and application forms which i have submit and now they say i should fill a form which is a recommendation letter to USA immigration and scan my passport page in addition so i want to know is this the correct process they employ foreign workers.

Hi There:  I live in the USA.  So what are your credentials?  What is your schooling and experience and what is the job you are applying for? Do you have a job description and do you have a telephone number and precise company name and address.  I can do some checking for you. 

I know that it costs a company a lot of money to bring a person from overseas to work here.  So caution.

I am a Human Resource Specialist working for the government over here so I do know my way around the job and employment area pretty well.

It's very likely to be scam.  Ladybuggirl makes some good points:  have you been provided with a job description, and company address/contact info? 

Also, you should not give out your passport details to anyone without knowing exactly who they are.  Even if no one has asked you for money in regard for this job opportunity, they may be holding off doing so until they know you are interested (which would be the case if you send them your passport data). In any case, don't send any money, ever.

Last point:  if the job is in the US with ExxonMobil, it will be just about impossible to get a work visa unless you are already employed by ExxonMobil outside the US (by one of their non-US entities) and have been working with the company for at least 12 months.
