Hi ,

I have got a offer in KL for RM 30 K and moving in with my family ( 2 kids ). Need help to understand the following -

1. How is the salary for KL, we do have a back home liability of RM 6500 ?

2. Where is a good place / area to stay, my office will be in Petaling Jaya ?

3. Do you get full time maids in KL and what is the average salary ?

4. Can we buy a car as we arrive in KL ( people are telling us we cant get them financed) ?

Hi there, I've lived here over a year. Lots of places in Petaling Jaya to choose from. There are lots of maids but finding them to live in is tricky. The system here is lax so they have a lot of freedom compared to Singapore and therefore most are here illegally from the Philippines. Most of them would rather live out than in. I managed to get a live in from an expat relocating. Second hand cars vary in price, or you can rent a car. Our rental for a 7 seater, Korean make is RM2,000 per month. Oh and pay my maid RM1,800 per month. Hope this helps.
