Socializing / Dating / Unmarried couple

Hi all

I am a single male from South Africa and have been offered a job in Bahrain.

I would like to find out about life and some laws in Bahrain. I know it is a muslim country and it has different laws from Africa / Western countries.

1. Can I invite my girl friend from my country to visit and share a room with her?
2. Can I find any girlfriend (muslim or non muslim) and invite her to sleep over in my room?
3. Is alcohol allowed? Can I buy alcohol from licensed stores or are there any pubs/clubs selling alcohol?
3. How is the social life in Bahrain just in general? (ie. socializing, partying, friendly multicultural environment, human rights, etc)
