Does anyone have a price list or idea of the rental cost of houses and apartments in various parts of the Riyadh?

I am moving to sunny Riyadh to take a post in January next year. My employer is providing accommodation but I have an option of getting a housing allowance instead and finding my own accommodation.

I've been told that expat compounds are the best place to live, if it is the case then which one is highly recommended?

I couldn't find any good websites or estate agents who have advertised a clear price list with photos. I have contacted a few and they have unfurnished apartments or they want me to pay for the furniture which have been left behind by the previous tenant.

It will vary from SAR 20,000/year to 400,000/year !! The best bet is to take the accommodation provided by the employer, unless you can save a lot by managing your own accommodation.
