Aspergers Syndrome or any special educational needs!

Hi there!
We emigrated to Kapiti Coast, Wellington in December 2007 and are going home in January 2008 to UK.  The reason?  Our 11 year old.  Basically we thought the education system would be ok but for those of you wondering about that aspect of New Zealand, the curriculum is two years behind that of the UK.  Also, if you have an Aspergers child for example, their understanding of this condition here in New Zealand is just not there whatsoever.
Great scenery, great people, great coffee (I love mocchacinos) but if anybody is considering moving here with any austistic child from the UK, my advice would be "don't".
So then .... that's all I wished to report!
Cheers!
